Last night, beating out competition from 85 countries, Miss France, Iris Mittenaere, was crowned Miss Universe.
Joining Iris in the top three were Miss Haiti, Raquel Pelissier, who was crowned first runner-up, and Miss Colombia, Andrea Tovar, second runner-up.
In her final Q and A round, Mittenaere spoke about France's open borders, in reference to the global refugee crisis, and how the country wishes, "to have the biggest exchange of people they can".
Among the final 13 countries were Kenya, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, USA, Peru, Panama, Thailand, Phillippines, Brazil, and of course, France, Haiti and Colombia.
The truth is that men have a much harder time processing these feelings.
